Below is just some of my artistic endeavors. I am a portrait artist who works in colored pencil and graphite. I periodically write and illustrate a comic strip: Sunny and Gloom. I write miscellaneous things that may or may not become something more. I draw caricatures that I have dubbed Cliffcatures. I doodle. I draw flowers in colored pencil. I draw tattoo designs mostly tribals though I have done others as well.

About Us

You had he opportunity to read a little of our history and our mission on the front page. But what does the World Artist Network do?

We are a newly formed US based non-profit, taking baby steps to achieve the goals we have in mind: helping artists reach the world through their work, and opening minds in the community through art.

Artists Outreach

The process of submitting art to galleries can at times be discouraging and taxing. At the World Artist Network we designed a program to help artists become more intimate with the art world.  Our Artist Outreach program is about helping both emerging and established artists find venues to expose their work.

We begin by assisting them in writing, editing or polishing their artist’s statement and preparing their portfolio.  The next step is to create a composite card with a sample of their pieces and their statement. We bring these cards with us to our networking meetings with various galleries to show the work of our talented artists and provide them with exposure opportunities.

If the gallery directors/curators become interested in showing an artist’s works, we act as a liaison to reach an agreement about the percentage the artist would receive out of sales and make sure the artist receives a written contract from the gallery.

The World Artist Network does not participate of the monetary aspect of the transaction. The gallery and the artist are the only ones involved in this process and WAN does not take a percentage for representation services.

We also assist writers, artisans, and artists from all mediums.

The art world needs fresh artists, innovative ideas and the creativity that fuels the world. Our program is here to support and encourage the exposure of many talented artists from around the world that are looking to share their message.

Art in the Community

The World Artist Network is working at the moment with inner-city schools and community centers in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut to bring them art through free workshops. Our main offices are now located in Connecticut so this has been our starting point, but we are looking to expand this program to New York, Pennsylvania and New York within a year, and hope to reach even more states as our program develops.

The focus of the program is to provide our communities with a form of expression and a source of inspiration to thrive in challenging environments.

We work with volunteer artists that donate an hour of their time each month, to provide people with advice and tips on finding creativity and learning to work with different mediums.

We rely on the donation of art supplies for these programs, since we serve mainly under funded schools that do not have the current capacity to provide art programs.

Networking Events

It is one of our goals to offer support, solidarity and friendship to developing world artists. Occasionally, we launch events in different areas to promote networking amongst artists as well as to provide peer to peer learning opportunities.

To keep informed about our events, don’t forget to check our Events calendar.
